Set up a Boat Ramp Assist checklist

Your In-Vehicle Trailering aplicación móvil myChevrolet* can help you learn how to launch your boat and pull it out of the water on properly equipped vehicles. Before you launch your boat, you can review step-by-step tutorials on launching and retrieving your boat. You can also review checklists that help you prepare to boat while still at home and on the boat ramp.

If you’re towing a boat for the first time, review these checklists and tutorials before attempting to back your boat into the water.

How to use Boat Ramp Assist:

1. First, you need to create a trailer profile for your boat. Check your Owner's Manual or Trailer Towing Supplement on your vehicle brand's website for more on how to set up the profile.

a. When you select a trailer type during profile setup, make sure you select “Boat.”
b. Making a profile lets your vehicle remember information you put in about your boat.
c. You can also use the Guest profile to begin using Boat Ramp Assist right away.

2. Once you’re logged into a profile, you’ll see a Boat card on the main Trailering App screen.

3. When you tap on this card, you'll see a status page for your boat. It will show caution triangles next to the tasks that will help you launch your boat or pull it out of the water.

4. The caution triangles will turn into green check marks as you complete these actions.

5. You’ll also see a list of tutorials on launching and retrieving a boat in the Boat tab.
