For the 2016 model year, Chevrolet will offer Android Auto and Apple CarPlay† compatibility in more models than any automotive brand.
Owners in markets including the United States, Brazil, Mexico and Canada will benefit from this new level of phone integration within fourteen Chevrolet models.
As the infotainment technology that seamlessly allows you to integrate your phone in your car, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay help you stay connected and safe in the easiest way.
To get started, plug in your compatible Apple iPhone or Android smartphone to the USB port to enable certain apps to be displayed in the vehicle on the Chevrolet MyLink† display screen. Interact with some of the apps from your phone, similar to the way you’re used to through voice controls or the touch-screen of your car.
Each system is also engineered to display the features you rely on most. Apple CarPlay takes selected iPhone features and applications and puts them on the vehicle's display so you can have access to your texts, your maps, your music and more right from the touch-screen in your car or by voice via Siri.
Android Auto™ is built around Google Maps™, Google Now™ and the ability to talk to Google™, as well as a growing audio and messaging app ecosystem that includes WhatsApp, Skype, Google Play Music™, Spotify and podcast players.
